On Friday, July 29th, 2005 I went to a Bonez Tour show in Edmonton, Alberta. It was, by far, the best concert and best day of my life. Such and amazing experience and a day full of unexpected events.
All say we were trying to get a meet and greet with Avril. We were making calls and finally, maybe we had a chance to meet Avril. We weren't sure if it would work out. We just had to cross our fingers. My dad was the doctor for the show, but on short notice so we weren't sure if we'd end up getting the meet and greet. We decide to put our faith into the meet and greet even though it wasn't for sure. We gave our floor seat tickets to my 8-year-old cousin and her dad.
My best friend came by my house, and we all went to the train station to go to Rexall Place. We got on the train and every stop we got more and more excited. We were so anxious to find out whether we'd meet Avril, or not get into the show at all. We had no idea what was going to happen.
We arrived at Rexall Place and there were already crowds of people getting there tickets and getting into the show. We didn't really know where to go to get our passes so we were frantically running around the outside of the whole coliseum, going through every set of doors, trying to get our passes which were apparently waiting for us, somewhere. We went to the gates, and then the box office, and then will call, and then a different box office. Our meet and greet was scheduled for 7:15, it was 7:15. I was so stressed out that things wouldn't work out.
Finally someone directed us to the right place and we met up with the people who were going to do the meet and greet. There were approximately 20 people there. Ours was only a pre-show thing. The body guards or whatever told us: "No hugs. No kisses. Avril doesn't know you that well." and they also told us "1 autograph per person.". That was kind of dissappointing. They wouldn't let us take our own pictures or record anything, they would just take 1 picture of us with Avril, as a group (of 3 or 4) and email it to us. I was really upset about all that.
We were waiting for our turn outside this room with windows that were covered by black curtains. That's where Avril was. We could hear Butch playing as we waited. Sadly, i didn't get to hear his set. Finally, it was our turn to meet Avril!!! I stepped into the room, follow by my dad and my friend. I looked around and was like "...where's Avril?" lol. She was standing at the back of the room. I couldn't see her at first, she was so small!! She was wearing a black tank top, jeans and her hair was waivy. She is really, really pretty in real life, there's no airbrushing it photos. I was so stunned to see her in real life, my brain froze. I saw Matt, her older brother near her and a few other people in the room.
We walked up to Avril and just said hi and stuff and she said hi back. I handed her my scrapbook that I made for her with messages from fans congratulating her on her engagement to Deryck. She was like "Thanks!!!" and she handed it to her brother and he started looking through it. Each of us had a picture for her to autograph. They weren't personalized but it was still awesome! Then we all got together and posed for a picture. I got to stand right next to Avril, I brushed against her shoulder!! lol. After that we said our goodbyes and headed out of the room with our hands on our faces, stunned.
Avril was giggling and simling the whole time we met her. She didn't say much, I wish we had time to make conversation or something or at least ask a few questions but she was on a tight schedule. It only lasted 1 or 2 minutes. But it was probably the best 1 or 2 minutes of my life. While we were waiting for the other people to meet her, I peeked my head in the door and Matt (brother) gave me this HUGE smile. it was so weird. But it made me weak at the knees lol.
We went to go find our seats, but we were never given tickets. We thought the meet and greet came with tickets. We ran around the coliseum asking all the employees where we get our tix and asking other people in the meet and greet and found out....we were supposed to have our own tickets, which we didn't have anymore. We gave them away to my cousin. DOH!!
We went down to the floor seat area where you get your wristbands and they wouldn't let us in. I started crying my eyes out think "Oh My God....I'm not going to see the concert...". So the girls that were giving the wristbands called a guy and we asked him what to do and explained the situation how we didn't know we were supposed to keep the tix and how my dad was the doctor...all that jazz. Then we heard Sk8er Boi start. I started crying even more lol. We ran to the door and watched from there while my dad talked to the dude. We could barely see anything but at least we could hear. She sounded awesome already.
My dad called me and my friend over and the guy said: "I have some bad news, you get to go out on the floor!!" And I was like "OMG THANK YOU!!". I guess he had to call the guy who got us the passes and starighten everything out. We got our wristbands and started screaming as we ran out on the floor. Then another thought crossed our minds....we were stuck at the back!! 
We kind of weaved our way through the people and pushed our way to about 10th or 11th row. it was hard to see with everyone's heads in the way and the signs and the kids on their parents shoulder. Avril started to play unwanted and we all cheered (basically we did that before and after every song lol). Every once and a while Avril came into perfect view which was cool.
My dad went to go find my uncle and cousin and they came and stood with us. My cousin was on my uncles shoulder waving her hands in the air. I think she was having fun. She didn't really know who Avril was except for hearing me talk about her 24/7. She really got into it. She had to rock hand sign going lol. My uncle and dad snapped a few good pictures.
Avril was smiling the WHOLE concert!! She seemed so happy. I think she played MHE next and then I Always Get What I Want. I'm probably mixing up the song order a bit because I was so out of it that night. I though I was dreaming the whole time lol. I think she played I'm With You or Mobile next. The Don't Tell Me....it think lol and then, erm, I'm not sure but in no order she also played: Losing Grip, Tomorrow, All The Small Things (which was really awesome), Take Me Away, Together, He Wasn't, Nobody's Home, Forgotten, Who Knows, Fall to Peices, Song 2 (encore) and Complicated (encore). I think thats it.
During the concert, Avril started asking the crowd "Do you feel special? Do you feel SPECIAL?!!" lol it was funny. There was this kid on front of me with a sign which kept getting in my way arrrg.
Avril was really awesome on the drums and Butch looked soo funny when he came out. It was a really cool performance. She finished it with Complicated and sang it really well, I'd say. Craig was looking directly at me for like 2 mins lol it was sooo cool.
Overall, Avril's voice and performance was AMAZING!! Best show of my life and best day. I LOVED it. So many unexpected things happened. We left the arena and hung out at K-days lol. I wish I could've gotten a t-shirt or some form of merch though. I look forward to the next show!!

omg, sweet dude. I'll send my best friend's review of the Vancouver concert when she tells me. I didn't get to go to one  it's so sad lol but next year my mom says I can.

here it is...one sec *copy n pastes review* lol she was so excited she could hardly type...also she's not allowed in groups or anything so she doesn't know some of the stuff like for example she didn't know what "all the small things" was (or whatever the song that wasn't hers was) anywayz here it is:
well it all seems like a dream to me but she sang 1 that was never on an album and never will be and she sang dont tell me, toghter happy ending and the rest i cant remember =C but it was totaly awsum!!!!=D but at the end she was talkin then wen she was done she ran off sage real quick so people wudnt swarm her!=C and she DIDINT do atographs!=D i dont blame her tho but jenn was soooooo nice cuz she bought me a 35$ shirt (i got a medium so it cud be and oversized one like a nighty)but we had to got get it near the end cuz there wud be swarmin peoples there so we turned our baks on avril(it was rud i no) and we buged to get the last one (its avril lavigne i mean i wud budge millions to get it)and forgive me if i spelt her last name rong lol but that concert was the fukin best!!!!!!=D=D=D=Di LUVED it u shud go!(wen u get the chance)but if she comes here agen i dont care how much money it coasts im gettin u down here!lol i hope that was enoght info cuz my arm is tired of typin lol (witch i can type faster now lol)
